Ten good reasons for choosing solar thermal

1.    Solar energy replaces fossil fuel consumption, reducing energy bill, energy dependence from foreign countries and greenhouse emissions.

2.    Solar thermal is a mature technology, being used since the late 70’s all over the world.

3.    Solar thermal energy is cheap, even compared to conventional fuels. Payback times are generally far below system’s lifetime.

4.    Solar technology is widely available. Buying a plant is therefore easy and different solutions can be compared.

5.    Maintenance costs are low and systems’ lifetime is long (20 years and more).

6.    Solar thermal components can be harmonically integrated into new and existing buildings.

7.    Solar is flexible: you can use it for heating domestic hot water, integrating space heating, cooling buildings and heating swimming pools.

8.    Solar collectors can be installed almost all over a building: on roofs, on facades, on balconies, on ground...

9.    Roof surfaces are always available in buildings: solar thermal turns roofs into energy production systems.

10.    Last but not least...solar raises citizens’ awareness towards environment!
